The 20th Zagreb World Festival of Animated Films was held in Zagreb from June 1to 6,2010.The Zagreb Festival of Animation Film is the animation event with the second long story in Europe.Also, it makes a significant contribution to the development of world’s animation during the 30 years.
The Zagreb World Festival of Animation Films which was established in 1972, is the member of the International Animated Film Association. At the beginning ,it majored in promoting short animation . The long animation haven't been introduced as its core part of development until 2005 . In order to improve the level of world animation ,since 2007 ,the World Festival of Animated Films began to reform that the year of single number is the year of long films, while the year of double number is the year of short films . The current contest set 4 unions, the international union was the most highly competitive one. This union set 4 awards, the Best Short Animation ,the Best Art Achievement Award and the Best Ad Animation Award. 40 countries over the world participated in the festival ,and 182 works will be released at the festival.
