The competition of Cyber Sousa at Xiamen International Animation Festival is the best authoritative and influential event in Chinese Animation Industry that is supported by government, industry and academies. With the slogan of “sticking to Chinese national feature and establishing the international brand”, we are trying to create an international famous award in the Competition for Cyber Sousa Animation Work and to setup an exchange platform in which international excellent animation works tend to China while Chinese excellent animation works tend to the world.
Outstanding works of this contest will be directly recommended to famous international competitions of the World's Animation Association in the name of ASIFA-CHINA, including: Zagreb Animation Festival, Annecy Animation Festival, Hiroshima Animation Festival, Tokyo Animation Festival, Seoul Animation Festival, ASIFA Hollywood Annie Awards, Animation Festival in Ottawa, and so on.
The prizes of this festival are classified into four major categories, that is, the general category, the individual category, overseas animation, and experimental animation. More than 1,000 domestic and international works participated in the competition. Besides Lotus Countuard of DANS, the nominees for the Best AD and Video Packaging Award also include: the Animated Film of Beijing 2008 Paralympics Games Mascot (Fu Niu Lele),LEVI’S Jeans ad-- the Presidential Election and other excellent works.
DANS’s Lotus Countuard won the Best AD and Video Packaging Award, Shining Green Hill and West Tower of Coastal City won the nomination award of VFX Award.
The great harvest of DANS in this competition is a return of DANS’ pursuit of quality, and a proof of the outbreak of the excellent creativity of the DANS team.
